Content Strategist & Engagement Manager

Description

You’re a storyteller, ready to implement social media strategies for multiple clients across many different industries. You'll be responsible for producing and closely monitoring content including social media posts, blogs, marketing landing pages, websites, and more - and finding opportunities to amplify all assets to tell the client’s story.

Responsibilities

  • Create, write, and edit compelling storytelling content for client projects, social media, blog posts, marketing landing pages, websites, and other efforts.
  • Develop editorial playbooks that outline content strategy objectives, editorial approach, messaging, narrative, tone of voice, and copywriting guidance.
  • Build and manage multiple editorial content calendars, including scheduling for social media channels.
  • Collaborate on and execute comprehensive social media strategies, focusing on both a cohesive overall vision, as well as platform and audience-specific plans per client.
  • Create and/or plan content for weekly social posts to all relevant platforms that engage and grow client audiences, and build meaningful connections with followers.
  • Work with the Digital Marketing Team to ensure social content strategically aligns with communications objectives and resonates with each platform audience authentically, thereby increasing positive sentiment and awareness.
  • Coordinate production logistics and assignments for photo/video/animation, etc. needs and other digital media projects in collaboration with appropriate internal teams.
  • Maintain constant awareness of key strategic initiatives per client and how social media can support those initiatives.
  • Avid interest in evolving and adapting to digital and social media trends, algorithm changes, and other factors that affect content performance.
  • Understanding and practice of basic SEO principles for developing content for web and social.
  • Continue to monitor, cultivate, and build upon online social media presence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Digital Journalism, Digital Media, Journalism, Communications, English, Public Relations, or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience working in social media and/or content development
  • Experience working in and with social media platforms
  • Knowledge of and adherence to AP Style (not required)
  • Must be autonomous and decisive, able to work under tight deadlines, prioritize assignments, work in a very fast-paced environment, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
