SEM Manager
You own paid search strategy and execution for multiple active clients at any given time.
Position Overview
- Manage Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Performance Max, YouTube, Demand Gen) and Microsoft Advertising (Search, Shopping) campaigns
- Work directly with clients to align campaigns with their goals
- Manage diverse budget sizes across clients
- Build campaigns that convert for different audiences and goals
- Set up and monitor automated bidding strategies (Target ROAS, Target CPA, Maximize Conversions) while knowing when to step in with manual adjustments
- Handle feed-based campaigns: Shopping ads, local inventory ads, product feed optimization
- Leverage first-party data through customer match lists, CRM integration, and advanced audience targeting
- Conduct keyword research that focuses on high-intent queries (not just broad terms)
- Understand how Google AI Overviews affect paid search placement and strategy
- Run A/B tests on copy, landing page experiences, and audience segments, and clearly communicate to clients what’s working and why
- Optimize for conversational search patterns for voice search
- Monthly reporting that connects spend to business outcomes
What We Require
- 2+ years of hands-on experience managing paid search campaigns in an agency or multi-client environment
- Proven ability to manage annual search budgets across multiple clients and campaigns
- Working knowledge of the Google Ads platform (Search, Shopping, Performance Max, YouTube, and Demand Gen campaigns)
- Strong working knowledge of keyword research tools
- GA4 and Looker proficiency and solid understanding of conversion tracking architecture (Google Tag Manager, Conversion APIs, enhanced conversions)
- You can translate complex performance data into clear recommendations for clients
- You proactively stay current on algorithm updates, new campaign types, and platform changes
- Proficient in Google Drive and Microsoft Office
